Aragon Court, Clare

DCH has recently handed over a development in Clare, Suffolk, to long-standing client, Hastoe Homes.

The development consists of 11 properties in total: five houses, two bungalows and four flats. Nine of the homes are for rent, the remainder will be shared ownership.

It is important in the housing association sector to combine the latest energy-saving technology with needs of a budget-conscious client, and this is exactly what DCH has achieved at Aragon Court.

All units have photovoltaic solar panels and Velux windows have been installed where appropriate. Plots three to six have been externally clad in slate grey thermowood for a durable and stable finish.

The bungalows and houses in Aragon Court have demand-controlled passive stack ventilation systems, which, as they don't need electric fans or control, are very energy efficient. Additionally, all windows and doors on the project meet rigorous secured-by-design standards.

Consistent with our clients commitment to the environment, all properties on the development have achieved Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.
