Each year, instead of sending Christmas cards, DCH chooses to spread festive goodwill through charitable donations. We work with a couple of national charities (this year Marie Curie and Macmillan Cancer Support) but also look for one group that is closer to home.
This Christmas, we are proud to support the Essex team at the Rainbow Trust, who provide vital emotional and practical support to families caring for a seriously ill child.
In England today, more than 86,000 children are living with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. Behind each number is a family facing the unimaginable – the possibility of losing their child – and struggling to cope with the everyday challenges that come with that reality. The Rainbow Trust is a lifeline, offering strength, comfort, and support when it is needed most.
Every donation gives families the care and resilience they need during their darkest days. The team were kind enough to share how our donation could help:
“£500 is the average cost of supporting a family with a seriously ill child for 3 months.”
