During Plume Academy’s recent WEX (work experience) week in Maldon, Essex, DCH Construction once again stepped up to inspire the next generation of builders and engineers. DCH’s skilled team led hands-on carpentry and bricklaying sessions, sharing not only practical skills but also insights into working in the construction industry.
Students particularly valued the combination of theory and practice, asking thoughtful questions about everyday site challenges and long-term career pathways. DCH’s team took the time to give feedback, helping motivate students as they plan for university, apprenticeships, or direct entry into the workforce.
Plume Academy’s WEX week is designed to bridge classroom learning with real-world work environments, helping students make informed choices about their futures. Thanks to DCH Construction’s ongoing support, pupils gained a deeper understanding of the opportunities available in the built environment. DCH Construction remains proud to play a part in nurturing local talent and strengthening community ties.
