This gallery showcases DCH Construction’s work on a ground-breaking development of eight affordable homes in the rural village of Stoke by Nayland, near the Suffolk/Essex border. Built to Hastoe Housing Association’s sustainable 2021 standard, these homes adopt a fabric-first approach – cutting carbon emissions and keeping energy bills down. From air-source heat pumps and EV charging points to wildlife-friendly features like bat boxes and insect houses, every detail was designed with people, place, and planet in mind. The project boosts local social housing by 17%, offering homes to those with deep ties to the parish.
